There are many volunteer opportunities at the Parks & Recreation Department. These opportunities can range from trail restoration, painting, graffiti removal, or major projects including trail building, installation of viewing platforms and bridges.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

Mary S Young Park - Trail work in the winter months (usually November through April).  
Every Monday morning from 8:00am to
noon.  
Meet at the shed in the gravel parking lot.   Bring gloves.   We have wheelbarrows and shovels.

Mary S Young Park - Invasive species work on clematis, blackberries, tree ivy and holly
(May through October).  
Every Monday morning from 7:00am to
noon.Meet at the shed in the gravel parking lot.  
Bring gloves.   We have shovels, saws and Pulaski’s.

Music in the Park - Summer Concert Series
Parks and Recreation Department can utilize volunteers to assist with set up, program distribution and volunteer coordination.
Dates of the concerts are July 24, July 31, August 7, 14, 21 & 28 located at Tanner Creek Park.
